This is important.

The New York Times has a front-page article about a major climate change report that was released this morning by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (Wikipedia) — and another article about how some scientists think the report is actually too optimistic.

The first article has a “reader forum” for comments, if you want to discuss it. If you want more information, you can watch a webcast of the IPCC’s press conference, and read their 21-page summary (pdf).

I hope to do both soon, as I’ve found it frustrating to be unable to find much written about climate change that seems scientific, comprehensive, up-to-date and more or less nonpartisan.
