Earth Quakers on foot

Briefly – I just read in the New England Friend (the NEYM newsletter) that Burlington MM (Vt.) has found Ruah Swennerfelt and Louis Cox clear to begin a six-month journey on foot from New England to North Carolina, under concern about “the precarious state of  the social and ecological systems of our earth,” beginning next fall, reminiscinent of Marshall Massey’s similar recent journey from Iowa to Virginia. Ruah and Louis  are married and both staff members of Quaker Earthcare Witness.

Add to this Rolene Walker of Pacific Yearly Meeting’s upcoming walk from Vancouver to Chile beginning this March (via), and it seems there may be something afoot…
